Over 25 yeears ago, my first freelance gig was designing the logo and marketing material for a major Sacramento California weekly street fair.  The Downtown District's business development venture; "Thursday Night Market" became such a popular event downtown, that it was eventually closed after increased security costs by the State Troopers made it cost prohibitive.
